Quick overview of the role:
We are seeking an experienced Transport Coordinator to join our Manufacturing facility based in Currumbin. You will manage and support all Drivers/Transport to ensure all company and customer deliveries are successful, as well as manage the driver roster and regularly liaise with customers to troubleshoot queries and issues.
What will you be doing?
- Allocate daily orders and coordinate driver runs to ensure customer timeframes and expectations are met.
Organise, maintain, and manage the daily driver roster and transport schedule.
Ensure safe loading procedures, Chain of Responsibility requirements, and transport legislation are consistently adhered to.
Maintain regular communication with customers to minimise internal and external demurrage issues.
Liaise with drivers to ensure timely product distribution, return of dunnage, and completion of all required paperwork.
Work closely with Production Planning and Bar Production to prioritise loads, coordinate customer returns, and resolve transport queries and issues.
Skills and Experiences:
What are we looking for in the successful candidate?
- Relevant experience and understanding of transport coordination
- Experience building efficient runs for drivers.
- Strong written and verbal communication with fantastic phone etiquette.
- Strong administration skills and competency in Microsoft Office.
- Highly organised and able to meet deadlines.
- Creative thinker, strong problem-solving skills and an ability to think on feet.
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with team members, senior management, customers and other stakeholders.
