Be part of the exciting opening of the new Low Secure Forensic Mental Health Inpatient Unit at Budyari Gamada, Blacktown Hospital, commencing 13 October 2026. This is a rare opportunity to join a new specialist service at the beginning of its journey and help establish a positive culture, model of care and patient experience.
Working alongside the existing Budyari Gamada services, you'll join a growing mental health workforce committed to delivering safe, therapeutic and evidence-based care within the forensic mental health system.

Work within the Forensic Mental Health Network in partnership with Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network (JHFMHN).

What you'll be doing
As an Enrolled Nurse, you'll provide high-quality direct nursing care under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse, supporting patients throughout their treatment and recovery journey. Your contribution will be vital to creating a safe, respectful and therapeutic environment.
Provide direct nursing care and support patients with activities of daily living, emotional wellbeing and independence.
Undertake observations and client assessments, recognise clinical changes and escalate concerns appropriately.
Follow individualised nursing care plans and work within your scope of practice under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to quality improvement and positive patient outcomes.
Work collaboratively with the nursing and multidisciplinary team while promoting professional, ethical and culturally respectful care.
