Brother Shota is looking for an experienced Senior Section Waiter to join our FOH team.
As a Senior Section Waiter, you’ll be responsible for confidently managing your own section while also helping maintain smooth service across the floor. We’re looking for someone who can lead by example, take initiative and support the team during busy services.
Your role will include:
- Independently managing a 25–30 guest section
-Taking responsibility for the service and experience within your section
- Ensuring orders are accurate and communicated clearly to the kitchen and bar
- Monitoring your tables and anticipating guest needs
- Maintaining service standards, efficiency and urgency throughout service
- Supporting and assisting other FOH staff when required
- Helping less experienced staff with service procedures and restaurant standards
- Communicating effectively with FOH and BOH
- Assisting with opening, closing and general restaurant operations
- Taking initiative and helping the team stay organised during busy periods
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has strong section waiting experience
- Can confidently handle a busy 25–30 guest section
- Is reliable, organised and proactive
- Has excellent communication and time-management skills
- Has strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine
- Has wine and/or sake knowledge — highly regarded
- Can work independently while supporting the wider team
- Maintains a professional, positive attitude under pressure

Pay: $27.97 – $62.93 per hour
Expected hours: 8.0 – 16.0 per week
