Location: Brisbane or Hobart
At MyState Bank, we are delivering one of the most significant transformations in our history, a full core banking replacement through our OneCore program.
This is an emerging program where structure and ways of working are still being established. This is a role for someone who knows how to create clarity, build delivery from the ground up, and take ownership of outcomes in a complex environment.
This is a two-year contract with direct access to senior leadership and visibility across the organisation. You will be accountable for end-to-end delivery of our core banking transformation from early definition through to migration and embedded change.
You will:

Build the delivery environment from the ground up, including governance, planning, risk, issues, dependencies and reporting

Lead vendor engagement and manage large system integrators to deliver on agreed outcomes

Mobilise and align teams across merged environments and multiple locations

Work closely with senior leaders including the Chief Customer Officer, Chief Information Officer, Chief Transformation Officer and business leaders

Drive delivery momentum in an evolving environment where not everything is defined

Work closely with Chang Lead, ensuring alignment across teams and successful

Foster strong ways of working and team culture, providing leadership, clarity, and direction across internal teams and vendor partners

This is a role for someone who is comfortable being in the detail, making decisions, and taking accountability for progress and outcomes
You have led a core banking implementation or have played a significant leadership role in a large-scale integration or system consolidation within financial services.
You bring:

Experience delivering an Australian core banking implementation including customer, product and data migration, or deep involvement in post-merger integration or enterprise system consolidation

A track record of building delivery structure and ways of working from scratch

Strong execution focus, making decisions, resolving issues and maintaining momentum

Experience managing and holding large vendors and system integrators to account

Confidence working with senior executives and navigating complex stakeholder environments

High emotional intelligence and the ability to bring people together across merged teams

The ability to translate between business and technology without being overly technical

You are hands on, pragmatic and accountable. You stay calm under pressure, adapt quickly, and focus on outcomes. You understand that successful transformation depends on people as much as delivery.
