The Children’s Services Educator works as a member of the Torrensville Community Childcare Centre and is responsible for assisting with the preparation, implementation and evaluation of developmentally appropriate programs for individual children and groups.
Specifically, the role supports the provision of high-quality education and care by:
- Supporting and guiding children from birth through to school age.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of programs that are developmentally
appropriate and support the inclusion of all children, including those with additional needs,
disabilities, complex health support requirements, First Nations children, and children from
Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds.
- Creating opportunities for children to thrive in their learning environments by providing
age-appropriate programs and experiences
- Applying knowledge and practices underpinned by the Early Years Learning Framework and
the National Quality Standards.

We are looking for a passionate early childhood educator dedicated to early learning. If you are curious, have a positive attitude, and enjoy supporting children's learning and development, we would love to hear from you.
You will have:
- Minimum of Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Education and Care.
- Current First Aid and CPR qualifications (or willingness to obtain in the first 3 months of
employment).
- Current RRHAN-EC certificate.
- Demonstrated ability to engage with children in a positive, sensitive, and respectful way.
- Collaboration with team members to ensure the inclusion, support, and care of all children.
- Understanding of the National Quality Standards and the Early Years Learning Framework.
- Experience in planning and implementing age-appropriate educational experiences for children.
- Experience engaging with groups of children aged birth to 6 years.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Current DHS Working with Children Check, or the ability to obtain one at your own cost, before
starting employment.
- Current National Police Check or the ability to obtain one at your own cost.
- Essential skills, knowledge, and training in food safety and hygienic handling of food and
equipment as mandated by the Food Safety Legislation 2001.
