The business is focused on delivering high-quality vehicle presentation and repair standards across a broad range of passenger and commercial vehicles.
PB MOTORS (DARWIN) PTY LTD is seeking an experienced and motivated Panelbeater to join its automotive repair and reconditioning team.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Repairing damaged vehicle panels and body components on a variety of used vehicles;
- Removing, repairing and replacing damaged guards, doors, bumpers and body sections;
- Straightening vehicle frames and body structures using appropriate repair equipment and techniques;
- Preparing repaired surfaces for refinishing through sanding, grinding and panel preparation work;
- Carrying out minor fabrication, welding and fitting work where required;
- Assisting in restoring vehicles to a high presentation standard suitable for resale;
- Reassembling vehicle components and ensuring proper alignment and fitment;
- Inspecting completed repairs to ensure quality workmanship and structural integrity;
- Working collaboratively with vehicle painters and workshop staff to maintain efficient workflow and turnaround times;
- Maintaining workshop cleanliness and following workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
Skills and Experience Required
- Minimum Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology or equivalent qualification preferred;
- Minimum 1 year of relevant industry experience required;
- Applicants without formal qualifications may be considered where they possess substantial relevant industry experience;
- Ability to use panel repair tools and equipment safely and effectively;
- Experience working with a variety of vehicle makes and models;
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Current driver licence preferred.
