The successful candidate will report directly to the Learning and Development Superintendent and ensure compliance with all company, client and site inductions, provide training and conduct verification of competency to the Operations Team.
Responsibilities:

Conduct training and VOC assessments for MC Operators in accordance with Main Roads Western Australian rules and regulations, regarding dimension and loading, maintenance, mass management and fatigue management

Conduct training and VOC assessments for equipment operation including but not limited to light vehicles, trailing equipment, forklifts, frontend loaders and diggers, etc.

Complete VOC and training documentation following MGM's best practice

Conduct various site orientations and provide employees with general information, regarding administration, workshop and yards

Facilitate organisational and client inductions as required for new and existing employees

Liaise with stakeholders within Training, HR and the branch to ensure seamless new employee commencement and employment documentation

Facilitate new employee welcome, and briefing on organisational values, history, systems, processes, policies and procedures

Liaise with Branch Manager to deliver an Introductory Leadership Message and set employee conduct and performance expectations

In consultation with the HSEC Advisor, ensure new employee breath and urine drug and alcohol tests are completed and associated documentation is recorded and appropriately filed

Partner with internal stakeholders and liaise with industry experts regarding instructional design

Regularly update and maintain the Learning Management System and all training reports to ensure all renewals occur before certification expiry

Regularly participate in toolbox meetings and other information dissemination meetings

Conduct internal audits on training systems and records to ensure compliance with legislation, client expectations and company standards

Skills and Experience:
-
Extensive knowledge of VET training systems and legislation
-
Strong working knowledge of training legislation and its application
-
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent qualification)
-
A minimum of 2 years of previous experience in a similar role
-
Valid WA Drivers Licence, MC Driver’s license
-
Excellent communication, organisational, analytical and computer skills
-
Ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate)

Good knowledge of competency-based training and assessment
-
Sound knowledge of the transport industry
-
HSE experience is desirable but not essential
