Position Overview
As our large-scale commercial operations continue to rapidly scale, Tenet Tech Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Representative to spearhead the expansion of our Commercial & Industrial (C&I) and Utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new industrial enterprise accounts, promoting high-capacity electrical and engineering products, managing long-term business-to-business (B2B) client relationships, preparing technical proposals, and negotiating heavy engineering delivery contracts across NSW and Australia. This position is a newly created full-time role arising from significant business growth in Tenet Tech's industrial renewable energy division. The successful applicant will play a key role in expanding the company's commercial sales capability throughout Australia.
Due to rapid expansion of our commercial battery storage projects across Australia wide, together with increasing procurement requirements from overseas manufacturing partners, Tenet Tech is expanding its commercial sales division and seeking an additional Technical Sales Representative. This position requires interstate travel for site inspections and client visits, and frequent travel across NSW and other interstate project locations may be required.
The successful candidate will report directly to the General Manager and work closely with the Engineering, Project Delivery and related teams to support the company's expanding commercial energy infrastructure business throughout Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct technical product presentations, engineering demonstrations, and complex system consultations tailored to industrial client requirements.
- Work closely with industrial clients to analyze corporate operational energy loads, recommend suitable commercial battery energy storage machinery, and coordinate with internal technical and project delivery teams.
- Prepare and deliver highly detailed commercial quotations, procurement proposals, and project contracts, and negotiate specialized B2B supply agreements.
- Meet or exceed monthly and annual wholesale sales targets, prepare technical sales performance reports, and formulate future market expansion strategies.
- Monitor global market trends, raw material price fluctuations, and competitor activities within the industrial power products sector to support corporate business planning.
- Identify prospective enterprise clients, build strategic joint-ventures with project developers, Tier-1/2 EPC contractors, industrial facility operators, and utility companies to generate new business pipelines.
- Identify emerging renewable energy opportunities and establish long-term strategic partnerships with engineering firms, EPC contractors and commercial asset owners.
- Coordinate technical discussions between customers, engineering consultants, procurement specialists and project delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Commerce, Industrial Technology or a related discipline is highly desirable. Alternatively, applicants with extensive industrial technical sales experience of at least 5 year will also be considered.
- Deep exposure or prior sales experience within heavy industrial sectors (experience with industrial electrical cables, power distribution machinery, or industrial raw materials will be highly regarded).
- Demonstrated capability to manage complex B2B sales cycles and maintain high-value institutional client relationships.
- Excellent communication, multi-party negotiation, and technical presentation skills.
- Proactive mindset with exceptional problem-solving abilities in a technically-oriented corporate environment.
- Mandarin language skills are advantageous due to supplier communications with overseas manufacturers.
