About the role
The Payroll Officer supports the delivery of DTP’s fortnightly payroll cycle, ensuring accurate and timely processing of salaries, superannuation, payroll tax and other payments in line with policies, industrial agreements and legislative requirements. The role also provides administrative and operational support to the payroll team and contributes to payroll improvement initiatives and program delivery.
Key responsibilities include supporting the fortnightly payroll cycle and employee administration activities, providing accurate payroll advice to employees and stakeholders, maintaining payroll records and data integrity, ensuring compliance with enterprise agreements and legislative requirements, and delivering administrative and coordination support for payroll operations, reporting, projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Please note that any payroll exposure is highly regarded.

Qualifications and experience
You’ll bring:

Experience with SAP SuccessFactors or similar HR platforms (desirable).

Experience in payroll, HR administration or high-volume customer service environments, with payroll exposure preferred.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, with intermediate Excel skills required.
Pre-employment checks and employment conditions
Relevant pre-employment screening and reference checks will be required.
Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa necessary for the nature of the position.
