About the role
An opportunity exists within the Adult Community Mental Health Services in the Koonung Continuing Care Team for passionate, enthusiastic & experienced senior mental health clinicians with sound clinical knowledge and mental health experience to take on the Duty Worker for Koonung and Doncaster CCT.
The Senior Clinician-Duty Worker will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and is responsible for providing comprehensive assessment, intervention, and community linkage of the identified client group referred via Eastern Health Mental Health Triage Service (Triage), Psychiatric Consultation Liaison service (CL), Crisis Assessment and Treatment Team (CATT), Prevention and Recovery Care (PARC) and Continuing Care Team (CCT) for a time-limited episode of care per established Eastern Health Mental Health & Wellbeing Program Standards, Practice Guidelines and Model of Care.
The roles will partner with consumers, carers, families and other service providers to provide high-quality case management and discipline-specific mental health assessment, treatment, consultation and community linkage services within a recovery-oriented framework.

About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
Qualifications and experience as specified in the position description, either as a Registered Nurse, Clinical Psychologist, Social Worker, or Occupational Therapist with appropriate registration
Demonstrated work experience in mental health in a senior role to be considered for Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 4 (RPN4) or Allied Health Professional Grade 3 (G3)
Experience in community mental health practice, including case management and discipline-specific practices.
Demonstrated ability to provide mental health assessments and interventions for consumers and their carers individually and/or in groups utilising a case management model.
Demonstrated commitment to and ability to practice utilising the recovery approach in mental health treatment and support with a focus on working collaboratively with consumers and carers to promote self-determination and enable progress towards reaching personal recovery goals.
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year. Those that are offered and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
