What you'll be doing

- Ensuring all food preparation and cooking is carried out in compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
- Maintaining a clean, organized and efficient kitchen environment
- Collaborating with the kitchen team and front of house to deliver exceptional dining experiences for customers
- Manage, organise and lead all kitchen operations in accordance with company policies and Executive Chefs directions
- will support the right cadidates with visa, but strictly consider only onshore candidates
What we're looking for
- Only serious onshore candidates with Proven experience as a Senior Chef in a commercial kitchen environment, preferably with fine dining experience, with passion and commitment, even an experienced Sous Chef who is looking to step up will tick the columns
- Position Available at Jam by Chef Sunil, one of the top dining spot in North Queensland serving Modern Australian, Fine dining, Hatted restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and presentation, Banqueting experience will be an added advantage
- Financial Acumen: Strong capability in monitoring food costs, minimizing waste, managing labor costs, and driving revenue
- Deep knowledge of Australian food produces, culinary techniques, and kitchen equipment is essential, with a keen eye for detail and current industry trends
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to consistently high standards of food quality
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced well organised kitchen team with long term commitment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills within a hand picked small team
- Food safety and hygiene certification
