About Revive Lab
Revive Lab is establishing a clinician-led IV infusion service within selected premium partner clinics across Melbourne.
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to support our initial Bayside service area, including Brighton, Hampton, Sandringham, Elwood and Beaumaris.
The role will initially involve occasional pre-booked clinic sessions, with the opportunity for more regular work as patient demand grows.
Responsibilities
- Confirming that the patient has completed the required clinician assessment.
- Reviewing the patient-specific prescription or administration instruction.
- Completing pre-treatment identity, consent and safety checks.
- Recording baseline observations and identifying changes requiring escalation.
- Preparing equipment and prescribed infusions in accordance with approved procedures.
- Performing peripheral IV cannulation.
- Administering and monitoring prescribed IV treatment.
- Recognising and responding to adverse reactions.
- Maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
- Providing appropriate post-treatment instructions.
- Following infection-prevention, medication-management and emergency procedures.
- Escalating clinical concerns to the prescribing clinician.
- Participating in competency assessments, incident reviews and clinical audits.
Essential requirements
- Current unrestricted Registered Nurse registration with Ahpra.
- At least two years of recent acute-care, emergency, ICU, anaesthetic, oncology, day-infusion or comparable clinical experience.
- Demonstrated recent competency in peripheral IV cannulation.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Medication administration and clinical-observation competency.
- Appropriate professional indemnity arrangements.
- Strong understanding of infection prevention and aseptic technique.
- Ability to recognise deterioration, allergic reactions and anaphylaxis.
- Reliable transport and willingness to travel within the Bayside service area.
- Australian working rights.
Highly regarded
- ALS or advanced emergency-response training.
- Emergency, ICU, oncology, infusion or anaesthetic nursing experience.
- Experience working independently in community or outpatient settings.
- Experience with electronic clinical documentation.
