We have a versatile, exciting and rewarding opportunity at Armstrong Smiles available for Dental Assistants seeking casual/ part time employment!
Key Responsibilities:
1. Clinical Assistance:
- Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare treatment rooms for appointments, including setting up instruments and equipment.
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures, anticipating their needs.
- Take and process dental x-rays as directed by the dentist.
2. Sterilization Duties:
- Maintain strict infection control protocols by sterilizing dental instruments and equipment.
- Clean, disinfect, and organize treatment rooms and clinical areas.
- General site maintenance
3. Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, including dental assistants, hygienists, and administrative staff.
- Communicate efficiently to ensure seamless patient care and workflow efficiency.
4. Reception duties:
- Being the first point of contact for patients, greeting them and ensuring a comfortable environment.
- Managing appointments, phone calls, and emails.
- Processing payments and managing daily banking
- Liaising with dental labs and handling referrals.
- General administration tasks and record keeping.
Qualifications:
- Certification is not a requirement
- Proficiency in dental assisting procedures, infection control protocols, and dental terminology.
- Strong organizational skills, particularly in managing sterilization processes and maintaining cleanliness in the clinical area.
- Commitment to maintaining a welcoming and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Proficient in dental software (EXACT preferred).
- Flexible with working days
