Position: Laundry Worker

Pearl Sea Holding Pty Ltd is a locally operated business in Broome, providing commercial laundry, dry cleaning and laundromat services to hotels, accommodation providers, local businesses and the wider Broome community.
The Role
We are now seeking several motivated and reliable individuals to join our team as Laundry Workers. As integral members of our team, you will assist with the day-to-day operation of our commercial laundry, processing linen and garments and ensuring customer orders are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Sort commercial linen, clothing and other laundry items according to type, colour, fabric and cleaning requirements.
- Load and unload commercial washing machines and dryers and process large volumes of linen, including sheets, towels and other accommodation linen.
- Operate commercial washing, drying, folding, ironing and pressing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Apply appropriate cleaning products and treatments during the washing and cleaning process.
- Check linen and garments for stains, damage and cleanliness, and treat items as required.
- Iron, press and fold clean linen and garments by hand or using commercial laundry equipment.
- Count, organise, hang or stack finished linen and garments and pack customer orders for collection or dispatch.
- Prepare commercial laundry orders and assist with collection and delivery to hotels, accommodation providers and other clients across Broome when required.
- Carry out basic equipment checks and assist with minor troubleshooting and routine maintenance of laundry equipment.
- Maintain clean and hygienic laundry equipment and work areas and follow workplace health, safety and manual handling procedures.
Skills and Experience
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience in a commercial laundry or similar environment.
- Experience operating commercial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers and folding equipment.
- Ability to undertake physical and repetitive work in a busy commercial laundry environment.
- Good attention to detail and ability to follow workplace safety and hygiene procedures.
- Follow workplace safety, hygiene and laundry processing procedures.
- Reliable, organised and able to work effectively as part of a team.
