Details: Are you a highly skilled Occupational Therapist with experience delivering and coordinating high quality, culturally safe and inclusive early intervention services. If so, an exciting opportunity exists to join the Child Development Service (CDS).
The successful applicant will provide leadership and management to a multidisciplinary team of health professionals and allied health assistants who deliver services to clients of the Child Development Service, with a particular focus on Occupational Therapy services.
You will maintain a clinical load, and also undertake other duties which include administration, coordination and oversight of professional practice, performance management, training and project management.

Eligibility/Other requirements
Essential
-
Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy.
-
At least five years’ experience delivering Occupational Therapy services with a high level of expertise planning and delivering early intervention services for young children and their families.

Current Registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency- AHPRA

Current Class C Australian Driver’s license
As this role is likely to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and young people, cultural awareness, the capacity to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people is highly desirable.
Note: This is a temporary position available from 20 July 2026 to 05 February 2027 with the possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency.
A merit list will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
