About the role
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic to join our team at Miranda Mechanical & Auto Electrics in Miranda, NSW. This is a full-time position based at our workshop. As a Mechanic, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring our customers receive exceptional service and their vehicles are kept in optimal working condition. You will be responsible for diagnosing mechanical issues, performing repairs, and conducting routine maintenance on a variety of vehicles.
Key responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical faults using appropriate testing equipment and customer feedback
- Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, filter replacements, brake servicing, and tyre work
- Repair mechanical components including engines, transmissions, suspension systems, and steering systems
- Conduct electrical diagnostics and repairs on vehicle electrical systems
- Inspect vehicles and provide customers with accurate repair quotes and recommendations
- Maintain detailed service records and job documentation for each vehicle
- Adhere to all workplace health and safety regulations and best practices
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workshop operations and customer satisfaction
- Identify opportunities for vehicle system improvements and cost-effective solutions
What we're looking for
- Formal qualification in automotive mechanical repair or equivalent hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance and repair
- Current and valid driver's licence
- Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and mechanical tools
- Strong technical knowledge of vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems
Pay: $56,063.22 – $101,760.49 per year
