About the role
The pharmacist senior position will provide a comprehensive clinical pharmacy service, within a multidisciplinary framework, to Prison and Youth Detention Health Services (PYDHS) clients across the West Moreton Health. The position will work within prescribed professional and ethical standards & evidence-based practice. The position will provide expert professional pharmacy support that aligns the pharmacy service with organisational goals.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
Ability to utilise high level knowledge, expertise and skills in pharmacy practice within correctional facilities and of hospital pharmacy service delivery and medication management employing well developed written and oral communication skills.
Ability to proactively contribute to team objectives within the pharmacy as well as the broader multidisciplinary team.
Ability to proactively participate in the development, implementation, review and maintenance of internal systems, processes and work practices.
Ability to develop, lead and supervise projects and audits that support pharmacy service objectives.
Ability to provide training, direction and guidance to health clinicians.
Mandatory Requirements:
Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
