Donny's Pizza, located in Abbotsford, is currently looking for an experienced Chef on a full-time basis to join the team. The restaurant is committed to exceptional hospitality and ambience with a modern flair to its cuisine.
We are looking for a full time Chef to ensure that all operational, quality and administrative functions are carried out properly.
The Chef is responsible for managing all aspects of the kitchen to deliver an excellent patron experience.
The position will require the candidate to perform the following duties & responsibilities and need the ability to work in a team and autonomously showing initiative and care.
Duties:
- Menu preparation and ensuring adequate supplies are available for expected service.
- Work as a team leader with other staff members.
- Supervision of kitchen when needed. Delegate duties and responsibilities to kitchen staff to ensure service demands are met.
- Maintain excellent presentation standards and cost control for all food and beverage outlets.
- Prepare and present menu items showing variety and flair, within the cost margins.
- Perform food preparation tasks and to check quality/presentation of orders to make sure food is cooked consistently and properly
- Works with and co-ordinates the work apprentices and trains kitchen staff in the preparation and production of food as required.
- Keep all working areas clean and tidy.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained, services and cleaned.
- Report any problems to the Management.
- Comply with safe work practices by following Workplace Health, Safety and Environmental policies
- Ensure all equipment is kept in good working order and used only for the purpose for which it was intended.
- Attend and actively participate in all WH&S training required from time to time.

Skills and Qualification
