Craig Mostyn Group is seeking an experienced Injury Management Advisor to join our Health & Safety team, based at V&V Walsh in Bunbury.
This is a hands-on role supporting injury management and workers’ compensation across CMG operations, with a strong focus on early intervention, effective return to work and positive outcomes for injured workers.
You will work closely with injured workers, supervisors, managers, medical and rehabilitation providers, insurers, Payroll, People & Culture and our Safety team.

The Opportunity

Coordinate injury management and return to work activities to support injured workers and minimise unnecessary absence from work.

Maintain and support regular contact with injured workers throughout their recovery and return to work.

Work with supervisors, managers, treating practitioners, rehabilitation providers and insurers to develop, implement and review suitable return to work plans.

Manage workers’ compensation claims and associated documentation and liaise with insurers, rehabilitation providers and treating practitioners, and supporting complex, prolonged and disputed claims
Coordinate suitable duties and work with operational leaders to identify appropriate temporary or modified duties. -
Monitor progress against return-to-work plans and support progression toward full pre-injury duties wherever appropriate.

Support early intervention following workplace injury or illness.

Monitor claim progress, lost time and return to work outcomes.

Identify injury trends and opportunities for prevention.

Support injury management reporting across the Group.

Provide practical advice to managers, supervisors and workers regarding injury management and return to work requirements.

Maintain appropriate injury management documentation and records.

Identify barriers to recovery or return to work and work with relevant stakeholders to address these promptly.

Support effective management of both physical and psychological workplace injuries within the scope of the role.
About you
You will have experience working in injury management, workers’ compensation, claims management or a related field.
We are looking for someone who is organised, practical and comfortable working with a wide range of people.
You will bring

At least three years’ experience in injury management, workers’ compensation, claims management or a closely related role.

Experience coordinating return to work arrangements and suitable duties.

Sound knowledge of workers’ compensation and injury management requirements.

Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Confidence managing sensitive and confidential matters.

Strong written communication and record keeping skills.

Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple claims.

Competency using Microsoft 365 and electronic record management systems.

A relevant qualification in injury management, workers’ compensation, allied health, workplace health and safety or a related discipline is preferred. Equivalent industry experience will also be considered.

Return to Work Coordinator training recognised by WorkCover WA is desirable. Applicants willing to complete the required training following appointment are also encouraged to apply.
