Burton Demolition & Recycling is expanding and we’re seeking experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanics / Diesel Fitters to maintain our fleet of trucks, mobile plant and crushing equipment across our busy Burton operations.
About the Roles
We have multiple positions available across two operational areas:
Crushing Yard Mechanic Work on crushers, screens, loaders, excavators and heavy mobile plant in a high‑output environment.
Recycling Plant Mechanic Maintain trucks, loaders, telehandlers, excavators and recycling equipment across a fast‑paced processing site.
Type of Work
This is heavy plant and mobile equipment maintenance (not dealership or light vehicle work). You will be working on robust machinery in a fast-paced operational environment where reliability and uptime are critical.
What You will be doing

Breakdown response and fault finding
- Preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing
- Diesel engine, hydraulic and electrical diagnostics
- Repairs on loaders, excavators, crushers, trucks and mobile plant
- Safety inspections and compliance checks
- Maintaining accurate service records
About You

Trade qualification: Heavy Diesel Mechanic / Mobile Plant Technology
- Strong experience with heavy plant, hydraulics and diesel engines
- Confident diagnostic and fault‑finding ability
- Ability to work independently in a busy operational environment
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
Desirable:

HR Licence
- Forklift Licence
- Experience in demolition, crushing, waste or recycling
