About the Role
We are currently seeking multiple experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanics / Diesel Fitters to join our team:
Crushing Yard
Based at our crushing operations, this role focuses on heavy mobile plant and crushing equipment in a high-output environment.
Recycling Plant Mechanic
Based at our main yard, this role involves maintenance of trucks, mobile plant and recycling equipment across a busy operational site.
Both roles are hands-on positions involving breakdowns, preventative maintenance and fault finding across heavy equipment.
Type of Work
This is heavy plant and mobile equipment maintenance (not dealership or light vehicle work). You will be working on robust machinery in a fast-paced operational environment where reliability and uptime are critical.
Key Responsibilities

Service, repair and overhaul diesel engines, transmissions and hydraulic systems
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
- Respond to breakdowns and carry out fault finding
- Complete preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing
- Maintain and repair trucks, loaders, excavators, crushers and other heavy plant
- Perform safety inspections and ensure compliance with company standards
- Maintain accurate service records
- Support workshop organisation and parts management
About You

Trade qualification: Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology, Mobile Plant Technology (or equivalent)
- Strong experience with diesel engines, hydraulics and heavy plant equipment (essential)
- Confident diagnostic and fault-finding ability
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
- Reliable, punctual and team-focused attitude
Desirable (but not essential):

Heavy Rigid Truck Licence
- Forklift Licence
- Experience in waste, recycling, demolition or crushing environments
