Join a team that’s passionate about changing lives through education.
At Industry Pathways (IPW), trading as Australian Paramedical College (APC), we’re proud to be Australia’s largest and most trusted provider of pre-hospital healthcare education, with a growing presence in pathology training. Every day, we help people build in-demand skills and step into rewarding careers that truly change lives.
We’re looking for an organised, relationship-focused Placement Coordinator to help connect our students with meaningful clinical placement opportunities across the pre-hospital emergency healthcare and pathology sectors.
This is more than an administration role. You’ll be the driving force behind our placement program, building strong industry partnerships, supporting students through one of the most important stages of their learning journey and ensuring every placement is a positive experience for students and employers alike.
About the Role
As our Placement Coordinator, you’ll take ownership of the end-to-end coordination of student placements, ensuring learners are matched with quality clinical placement opportunities that support their successful course completion. You’ll proactively manage placement demand, solve scheduling challenges, support students throughout their placement journey and ensure all activities are delivered safely, compliantly and efficiently.
You’ll also play a key role in building and nurturing strong partnerships with healthcare and pathology providers, expanding our placement network and delivering exceptional service to students, industry partners and internal stakeholders. With a strong focus on communication, organisation and continuous improvement, you’ll maintain accurate records, manage competing priorities and contribute to an outstanding placement experience for everyone involved.
About You
You’ll be someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and keeping multiple moving pieces organised. You’re resilient under pressure, genuinely enjoy helping others and can confidently manage competing priorities while maintaining exceptional customer service.
You’ll bring:
- Experience in placement coordination, education support, healthcare administration, student services or a similar customer-focused role.
- Experience managing professional relationships and external stakeholders.
- Outstanding organisation and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to manage difficult conversations with empathy and professionalism.
- Strong time management and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Sound judgement, discretion and a solutions-focused mindset.
- A current Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain one).
Bonus Points If You Have
- Experience coordinating student or clinical placements.
- Knowledge of pre-hospital emergency healthcare, pathology or regulated training environments.
- Experience within the vocational education or RTO sector.
- Experience using student management systems or CRM platforms.
Ready to Make a Difference?
If you’re passionate about creating outstanding student experiences, building strong industry partnerships and making a genuine impact every day, we’d love to hear from you.
