Your New Role
We have a 12-month max-term contract opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst to join Enterprise Delivery and support the delivery of a strategic project, specific to enhancing the fund’s data privacy management capabilities.
Reporting to the Business Analysis Team Lead, the Senior Business Analyst is responsible for solving business problems for business stakeholders, identifying opportunities for improvements, providing recommendations, gathering and qualifying business requirements and the development of various artifacts to ensure the successful implementation of new software, digital products and/or business process changes.
The successful applicant will contribute through both independent and collaborative thinking to the design, development and delivery of innovative business solutions and improvement initiatives for AustralianSuper and its members.
Key accountabilities will include;
- Support the successful delivery of defined project objectives
- Understand and can document the current and future states of the relevant business processes
- Document, manage, prioritise, and validate functional and non-functional requirements
- Ensuring activities are appropriately tracked with clear traceability and are completed within the agreed timeframes
- Understand the value proposition of initiatives and prioritise well to help achieve business outcomes
- Supporting business case development
- Supports the process of developing, obtaining approval for and release for any required RFPs
- Actively seek to identify, understand, and manage project dependencies, risks, and issues
- Manage process improvements and work with team to document and present findings to the wider organisation
- Support change management & business integration activities
- Independently builds rapport with stakeholders and understands stakeholder challenges and pain points
- Understands executive and business sponsors’ strategic direction
Creates high quality presentations

What You’ll Need:
- Deep business analyst experience within financial services, a minimum of 6 years
- Solid ability to consistently write requirements and/or user stories of high quality and with great attention to detail
- Demonstrated experience within superannuation industry
- Excellent people skills and a collaborative approach to work
- An engaging workshop style and strong grasp of facilitation techniques
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly developed stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
- Exposure to working in various project environments and methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, and hybrids of both
- Ability to independently work through problems and present recommendations to stakeholders
