About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Production Leading Hand to join our Condell Park manufacturing team. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will lead by example on the production floor, ensuring efficient line performance, maintaining safety and quality standards, and supporting the development of production team members.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated manufacturing professional with leadership experience who enjoys driving performance, solving problems, and developing people in a fast-paced FMCG environment.
Duties

Lead, train and mentor production team members in the safe and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment

Operate and troubleshoot production machinery across assigned lines

Communicate daily production targets and performance outcomes to the team

Complete production documentation and reporting accurately at the end of each shift

Supervise team performance to maximise productivity, quality and safety outcomes

Escalate equipment breakdowns and technical issues to the Shift Manager when required

Conduct root cause investigations and support corrective actions for equipment faults

Provide operational coverage during team members' scheduled breaks

Support GMP requirements, sanitation activities and microbiological monitoring processes

Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety and WHS standards at all times

Participate in rotating shift patterns, including weekend work as required
Skills & Experience

Demonstrated experience in a Leading Hand, Team Leader or similar manufacturing leadership role

Previous beverage, food manufacturing or FMCG industry experience - essential

Strong leadership, coaching and communication skills

Proven ability to coordinate and manage production operations effectively

Hands-on approach with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities

Sound planning, organisation and time management skills

Knowledge of HACCP, GMP and food safety requirements

SAP experience highly regarded

Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced production environment

Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends when required
