Key responsibilities
As an Ancillary Services Worker, you will specifically:
Demonstrate cultural capability and/or a commitment to developing cultural capability to ensure an inclusive culture that aligns with the Human Rights Act 2019 and supports departmental programs and community partnerships aimed at preserving cultural connections for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Ensure a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness is maintained in designated areas of the Centre.
Undertake cleaning duties which may include any of the following activities:
Cleaning windows, doors, doorknobs, taps, sinks, and dusting including office furniture and equipment.
Cleaning and sanitising toilet facilities.
Sweeping/vacuuming and floor maintenance including buffing, stripping and polishing.
Ensure all cleaning materials and equipment are securely stored and maintained and replacement cleaning products ordered as required.
Assist in the kitchen environment including abiding by food safety requirements and assist in meal delivery.
Provide assistance in maintenance and grounds, such as lawn mowing, weeding and pruning of plants.
Assist in the control of stores and provisions within stores area and assist in distribution of stores.
Assist in laundry service including providing repairs to clothing and similar items and undertake laundry processes including washing clothes and storage and distribution of laundry stock.
Dispose of rubbish.
Undertake basic administrative procedures as required.
Maintain a safe, secure, and productive working environment.
