About the Role:
Ready to take your refrigeration and HVAC expertise beyond the tools? This is an opportunity for an experienced
Refrigeration Mechanic or HVAC/R Technician to transition into a more specialised technical support role while continuing to use the hands-on industry knowledge and technical expertise you've built throughout your career.
You'll become a key technical contact for customers, providing support across commercial refrigeration, control systems, monitoring platforms and BMS. You'll help customers troubleshoot issues, configure solutions, support commissioning activities and get the most from their systems.
The role combines technical problem-solving with customer interaction and offers exposure to a broad range of activities, including technical support, commissioning, configuration, troubleshooting, warranty assessment, system integration and customer training.
The role is primarily office-based, with occasional customer site visits required.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support via phone, email, remote access and occasional customer site visits
- Support commissioning, configuration and troubleshooting of control and monitoring solutions
- Troubleshoot commercial refrigeration control systems, including CO2 applications
- Assist customers with product selection and application support
- Provide after-sales technical support and warranty assistance
- Conduct warranty assessments and root cause analysis
- Develop and maintain supervisory graphics, BMS layouts and monitoring configurations
- Support integration of refrigeration controls with BMS and communication networks
- Deliver customer training and technical presentations
- Assist with pre-configuration activities and system preparation
- Coordinate with international HQ, R&D, Quality, Sales and Service teams to resolve technical issues
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and service records
- Attend customer sites when required to support commissioning, troubleshooting and technical service
About You To be successful, you'll have:
- Certificate III in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration or equivalent HVAC/R qualification
- Qualified Refrigeration Mechanic or HVAC/R Engineering background
- Minimum 4 years' experience within the HVAC and refrigeration industry
- Strong understanding of commercial refrigeration, particularly CO2 systems
- Experience with refrigeration controls, monitoring or supervisory systems
- Strong knowledge of BMS, communication networks and control system integration
- Strong technical troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving capability
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications
- Confidence working with technical drawings and documentation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service focus and professionalism
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with technical and commercial teams
- A proactive mindset and willingness to learn new products, software tools and technologies
- Experience with Java and/or HTML scripting would be advantageous
