Primary objective
Support the Digital Learning and Innovation team in working with clients to drive, support and deliver contemporary eLearning solutions
through the Northern Territory Government’s Learning Management System (LMS), meeting enterprise objectives and client requirements
and improving workforce capability outcomes.
Context statement
Workforce Development within the Department of Corporate and Digital Development (DCDD) is responsible for building the capability
of the Northern Territory Public Sector (NTPS). The Digital Learning and Innovation team leads enterprise eLearning delivery through the
LMS. This role provides operational advice, support and training to clients and course owners and contributes to the quality and
continuous improvement of digital learning services.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Provide advice, support and training to clients and course owners on the governance, configuration and use of the LMS.
2. Review eLearning courses and provide practical advice to clients so courses are accessible, meet quality requirements and are ready
to publish in the LMS.
3. Manage and resolve LMS requests through Jira, engage with clients and stakeholders to coordinate solutions, and identify recurring
issues requiring service or process improvements.
4. Develop, maintain and continuously improve procedures, guidance and knowledge base content to support consistent and efficient
service delivery.
5. Coordinate defined digital learning projects, monitor progress and deliver agreed outcomes aligned with DCDD objectives.
6. Support less experienced team members and share technical and procedural knowledge to promote consistent team practice.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Demonstrated ability to provide high level customer service using various IT systems and software, including learning management
systems, client management systems, content development software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
2. Demonstrated ability to support colleagues, share knowledge and contribute to consistent team practice.
3. Proven capability to multi-task, manage competing priorities, achieve results and meet timeframes.
4. High-level oral and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate and liaise effectively with various internal and external
stakeholders and work productively with diverse teams.
5. Experience in supporting the consultation, planning, management and review of learning and development initiatives, procedures,
and projects.
6. Demonstrated work ethic and attitude which emulates DCDD values of commitment to service, innovation, ethical practice,
accountability, impartiality, diversity and respect.
Desirable
1. Previous experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or eLearning development tools (e.g. Articulate storyline, Totara).
2. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or other relevant qualifications.
