The Opportunity
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer‑focused individual to join our team as Casual Console Operator at our Racecourse retail site in Mackay, Queensland.
The role is dynamic and hands‑on, offering variety across customer service operations.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering friendly, efficient customer service
- Managing stock levels and product displays
- Handling cash and completing transactions accurately
- Supporting promotional activities
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene, food safety, and store presentation
- Assisting with loss prevention and general housekeeping
What We're Looking For
We're searching for a team member who will bring energy, initiative, and a commitment to great service.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Previous customer service experience (preferred but not essential)
- A positive, enthusiastic attitude
- Retail experience (preferred but not essential)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to multitask and perform under pressure
- Flexibility to work across a 7-day roster, including additional hours when required
You must also be legally entitled to work in Australia. Successful applicants will need to provide proof of employability with a copy of your Australian visa or Australian birth certificate.
Pay: $27.73 – $43.55 per hour
