This role is perfect for someone who’s confident using CNC machinery, interpreting production drawings, programming orders, and producing precision parts for custom exhibition stands, displays, event structures, and bespoke projects.

What You’ll Do
- Operate CNC machinery safely and efficiently to cut, shape, and produce precision components.
- Work with materials including plastic, aluminium, steel, and other production materials.
- Interpret production drawings and convert them into accurate CNC outputs.
- Program CNC machinery for new orders and edit G-code programming where required.
- Measure custom elements and ensure all CNC components meet specifications and tolerance requirements.
- Change tooling, monitor tool wear offsets, and replace worn CNC and drill bits.
- Use gauges and measuring instruments to maintain accuracy and quality.
- Recognise when the CNC machine is not at peak performance and troubleshoot issues to improve output.
- Maintain material stock levels, racking, sacrificial sheets, and weekly reporting on materials.
- Keep the CNC work area clean, organised, and free from excess materials and cut-offs.
- Conduct in-process checks and final inspections before handover.
- Assist with loading, unloading, warehouse duties, pick-ups, deliveries, and on-site work where required.
- Follow WHS requirements, company SWMS, PPE standards, and machinery maintenance procedures.
✅ What You Bring
- Proven experience in CNC operation.
- Strong troubleshooting capability.
- Ability to understand and interpret construction drawings and the build process.
- Experience with G-code programming, tooling, inserts, fixtures, offsets, and measuring instruments.
- Good communication, organisation, and time management skills.
- Ability to work with Production Staff, Account Managers, suppliers, and materials companies.
- Ability to work within tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and safety standards.
- Experience with a range of tools and factory machinery.
- Ability to safely manoeuvre sheets and handle raw materials.
- Forklift ticket is desirable but not essential.
- A proactive mindset with a focus on precision, quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
