About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Managerto lead our specialised ventilation manufacturing facility in Seven Hills. This key leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence, fostering a strong safety-first culture, and embedding Continuous Improvement and World Class Manufacturing (WCM) principles across the site. Leading a team of approximately 30 employees, you will oversee a modern operation that combines automation, robotics and manualassembly to manufacture high-quality products for the Australian market.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will have end-to-end accountability for Production performance, including safety, quality, delivery, productivity and cost. This is an opportunity for a hands-on leader to drive Lean manufacturing initiatives, lead capital and innovation projects, enhance equipment reliability, and develop a high-performing team culture. Key Responsibilities
- Champion a Zero Harm safety culture, ensuring compliance with all WHSE requirements and embedding a "Never Walk Past" mindset across the site.
- Lead all aspects of manufacturing operations, including safety, quality, delivery, productivity, customer satisfaction and cost performance.
- Drive the site's World Class Manufacturing (WCM) journey, implementing Lean methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build, lead and develop a high-performing team culture focused on accountability, engagement and operational excellence.
- Manage production planning, capacity, labour allocation and operational performance to achieve business objectives.
- Oversee maintenance strategy and asset reliability programs, ensuring strong alignment between maintenance and production functions.
- Lead capital projects and site improvement initiatives, including operational upgrades, automation and product innovation activities.
- Manage site budgets, cost controls and performance reporting to deliver strong commercial outcomes.
- Support new product introduction and ongoing process optimisation across the facility.
About You
You are a hands-on manufacturing leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys balancing strategic thinking with operational execution.
You will bring:
- Proven experience managing end-to-end Production operations within a high-performing manufacturing environment.
- Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical qualification (preferred).
- Strong leadership capability with experience leading supervisors, production teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Demonstrated success driving Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, WCM, 5S or similar operational excellence programs.
- Strong understanding of safety leadership, quality systems and manufacturing compliance requirements.
- Experience managing operational budgets, cost centres and delivering productivity improvements.
- Exposure to capital expenditure (CAPEX) planning and project delivery.
- Maintenance leadership experience or strong knowledge of asset reliability, preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
- Strong commercial acumen, problem-solving capability and decision-making skills.
