Join our specialist Day Ophthalmic Unit at the Flinders Eye Centre and take the next step in your PACU nursing career with an exciting 12-month temporary contract opportunity. Working across admissions, anaesthetic support, Stage 1 and Stage 2 recovery, you’ll play a vital role in delivering exceptional care to patients undergoing a diverse range of eye procedures, including paediatric surgery. Our purpose-built unit features dedicated admissions, two operating theatres, and specialised recovery areas, offering a unique environment to develop highly sought-after ophthalmic and perioperative skills. About you:
Required Skills
Current registration with AHPRA
Knowledge of NSQHS standards
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
Paediatric recovery experience
Registered nurse minimum 3 years demonstrated clinical experience in PACU stage 1 recovery
Desirable skills
Ophthalmology knowledge
ALS and/or Kids resus
Proven clinical experience in fast paced healthcare environments with strong time management, prioritisation and high-quality patient care skills
Cultural experience working in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health services
