About The Role
The Casual Guest Services Agent is responsible for providing friendly and professional service to guests throughout their stay. The role includes managing reservations, completing general front desk duties and assisting with daily hotel operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and complete check-in and check-out procedures.
- Process reservations, amendments, cancellations and guest requests.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and respond to emails.
- Provide information about rooms, facilities and local attractions.
- Taking reservations for both hotel rooms and restaurant enquiry.
- Process payments and maintain accurate guest accounts.
- Monitor arrivals, departures and room availability.
- Assist with after-hours arrivals and key collection arrangements.
- Respond to guest enquiries, concerns and complaints professionally.
- Communicate guest requirements to Housekeeping and other departments.
- Complete daily front desk checklists, handovers and administrative tasks.
- Maintain the security of guest information, keys, payments and the reception area.
- Follow hotel policies, procedures and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Perform other reasonable duties as directed by management.
Skills and Experience
- Previous hotel, reservations or customer-service experience is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confident using computers, email and booking systems.
- Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional presentation and a guest-focused attitude.
- Reliable and available to work weekdays, weekends and public holidays as required.
