Phillip Lim Automotive is seeking experienced Mechanics and dedicated Apprentices to join our growing team in Hornsby, NSW. This is a full-time position offering an excellent opportunity to work in the automotive trades industry, where you will contribute to delivering high-quality vehicle maintenance and repair services. Key responsibilities
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment and technical knowledge
- Repair and replace vehicle components including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension and steering systems
- Conduct vehicle inspections and provide customers with honest assessments and repair recommendations
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all work completed
- Adhere to all workplace health and safety standards and procedures
- Assist senior mechanics and contribute to a collaborative workshop environment
- Keep workstations clean and organized, maintaining workshop standards
- For Apprentices: Undertake structured training under the guidance of experienced mechanics, developing practical and theoretical knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance
What we're looking for
- For Mechanics: Relevant automotive qualifications or certifications demonstrating competence in vehicle repair and maintenance
- For Mechanics: Proven experience working in a professional automotive workshop environment
- For Apprentices: Year 10 or equivalent educational background (desirable)
- For Apprentices: Willingness to undertake an automotive apprenticeship program and commitment to learning
- Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with hand tools and automotive diagnostic equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Valid driver's license and reliable transport to Hornsby, NSW 2077
- Good communication skills and customer service orientation
