About the role: Applications are sought for the 2027 clinical year, commencing in February 2027 for 12 months with possible extension, at 0.5 FTE. To be eligible for this position, applicants need to be PGY4+

This position is with the Department of Bariatric Medicine (DBM), a multidisciplinary team which sits within the Division of Medicine and is located at Belconnen Community Health Centre. The team provide medically led clinic-based multidisciplinary care for people living with severe obesity and it’s complications, including support for provision of available public funded bariatric surgery.

To be eligible for the position you must be in a formal GP training program. This position has accreditation as extended skills training with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
Work hours are within standard weekday hours, and there is no overtime or on-call associated with this position. There is some scope for negotiation of the hours worked within the operational requirements of the unit.

Note: This is a temporary position available for a period of 12 months with the possibility of extension. This position is part-time at 20 hours per week and the full-time salary noted above will be pro-rata.
