About the Opportunity

As the Clinical Nurse Unit Manager, you will:
- Provide clinical, operational and professional leadership for the nursing team.
- Coordinate safe, efficient and patient-centred care across the unit.
- Lead workforce planning, rostering, performance management and staff development.
- Manage human, financial and physical resources to achieve service and organisational goals.
- Foster a positive workplace culture built on collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Promote evidence-based practice, clinical governance and compliance with the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.
- Partner with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and effective discharge planning.
- Drive quality improvement initiatives, monitor key performance indicators and support innovation in clinical practice.
- Mentor, coach and support nurses, students and emerging leaders to achieve their full potential.
About You
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing nursing teams and services within an acute healthcare setting.
- Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build effective multidisciplinary relationships.
- Proven ability to lead change, inspire teams and foster a positive workplace culture.
- Commitment to patient-centred care, clinical governance, quality improvement and evidence-based practice.
- Experience managing staffing, resources, budgets and service delivery to achieve safe and efficient patient outcomes.
- Highly developed problem-solving, decision-making and conflict resolution skills.
