Job Description
CWC Lube Mechanical Services needs a qualified motor mechanic (ANZSCO 321211 ) at our workshop in Porth Hedland WA 6721. This is a full-time position performing servicing, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of a range of light and commercial vehicles in accordance with manufacturer specifications and Australian safety standards. Your responsibilities will include:
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using manufacturer diagnostic systems, scan tools, and workshop testing procedures.
- Carry out mechanical repairs and component replacements on engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, and braking systems.
- Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance, including oil changes, lubrication, tune-ups, and system checks to ensure safe and efficient vehicle operation.
- Test and quality-check vehicles following repairs to confirm performance, safety, and compliance with roadworthiness standards.
- Conduct inspections to identify faults, maintenance requirements, and safety issues, and report findings as required.
- Safely operate hoists, diagnostic equipment, and workshop tools in line with WHS procedures.
- Complete job cards and service documentation accurately, detailing work performed, parts used, and repair outcomes.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace and ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained.
- Support workshop operations by assisting with tyre replacements and responding to vehicle breakdowns when required.
Salary mentioned is exclusive of superannuation and aligned with market rates.
Job Requirements
- Relevant trade qualification (AQF Certificate III or higher, or equivalent overseas qualification), or at least three years of post-qualification experience in a similar role
- 2–3 years of relevant work experience in a motor mechanic role.
- Valid C-class driver’s licence (manual licence preferred).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced workshop environment.
- Commitment to workplace safety, quality workmanship, and professional standards.
- Physically fit to work on a workshop environment.

Pay: $76,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
