We're excited to welcome a Clinical Nurse to our Child and Adolescent Unit at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
The Clinical Nurse role in the Child and Adolescent Unit is to lead and deliver person centred Paediatric nursing care at an advanced level based on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Registered Nurse Standards for Practice. The Clinical Nurse CN is expected to be able to practice autonomously and provide leadership in clinical decision making. They have the responsibility for professional leadership in the absence of the Nurse Grade 7 and an opportunity to work collaboratively to lead practice changes and clinical innovation.
The Child and adolescent Unit is 27 beds in the Sunshine Coast University Hospital. We care for patients aged 0-18 years and their families focusing on a multi-disciplinary model.

Key Responsibilities include:
Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
As A relief CN in the Child and Adolescent Unit there is an expectation that you are a clinical expert in areas such as High Flow, CVAD PICC management and the clinical demands of a general paediaitc ward. This is not only a team leader role but a leadership role where there is an expectation that you support and educate your NRG5 when on shift to assist them improve their role and experience.

Salary rates: $57.48 - $61.55 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 6(1)) (Permanent Part-time, 37 hours p.f.)
