Operating from its business locations in Mulgrave, Victoria and Bunyip, Victoria, Garden Innovations Group Pty Ltd continues to expand its operations and supply network. As part of its ongoing growth, the company is seeking an experienced and motivated Contract Administrator to support the administration of commercial contracts, supplier agreements, procurement activities and business projects.
Position Overview
The Contract Administrator will be responsible for supporting the commercial and contractual administration of the company's procurement, supplier and operational projects. The position will ensure contracts are administered effectively, documentation is maintained accurately, supplier performance is monitored, and contractual obligations are met to support the efficient operation of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing, reviewing and administering commercial contracts, supplier agreements and contract variations
- Maintaining contract registers, procurement records and project documentation
- Monitoring contractual obligations and ensuring compliance with company policies and contractual requirements
- Assisting with procurement documentation, supplier evaluations and tender processes
- Supporting cost tracking, invoicing, budget monitoring and financial reporting for projects and contracts
- Liaising with suppliers, contractors, freight providers and internal stakeholders regarding contractual matters
- Coordinating contract documentation, approvals and record management
- Preparing reports, correspondence and management documentation relating to contracts and business projects
- Assisting management with contract negotiations, renewals and supplier performance reviews
- Supporting risk management, quality assurance and compliance documentation
- Identifying contractual issues and assisting in the resolution of commercial matters
- Providing administrative support for business improvement and operational projects
Skills and Experience Required
- Diploma or higher qualification in Building and Construction, Business, Project Management, Contract Administration or a related discipline
- Minimum two years' relevant experience in contract administration, procurement or project administration
- Sound understanding of commercial contracts, procurement processes and contract documentation
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and business administration software
- Ability to work collaboratively with suppliers, contractors and internal stakeholders
Desirable
- Experience within manufacturing, wholesale, distribution, construction materials or industrial supply industries
- Knowledge of Australian commercial contract administration and procurement practices
- Ability to speak a second language will be considered an advantage due to the company's diverse supplier, customer and contractor network
