About the role
The Victoria Hotel Horsham is seeking an experienced and talented Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. As a Chef, you will be responsible for the preparation and delivery of exceptional cuisine in a fast-paced, upscale restaurant environment. This is a full-time position based in Horsham, VIC 3400.
What you'll be doing
- Preparing and cooking a variety of high-quality dishes from our diverse menu
- Ensuring all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality, consistency and presentation
- Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient kitchen environment
- Collaborating with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and improve existing dishes
- Supervising and training kitchen staff to uphold our culinary standards
- Adhering to all health, safety and hygiene regulations
- Contributing to the overall success and smooth operation of the restaurant
What we're looking for
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience as a Chef in a similar high-volume, upscale restaurant environment
- Formal culinary training or a recognised qualification in Hospitality or Culinary Arts
- Excellent working knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and presentation
- Strong time management, multitasking and problem-solving skills
- Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating unforgettable dining experiences
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced kitchen
- Understanding of food safety, health and hygiene regulations
