Your new role:
As a Registered Nurse within Surgical Ward 2H, you will play a key role in delivering safe, compassionate and person-centred care to patients across a broad range of surgical specialties by:
Providing comprehensive nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient outcomes.
Caring for colorectal, general surgical, acute surgical, ENT, gynaecology and orthopaedic patients.
Collaborating with nursing, medical and allied health professionals to achieve best practice outcomes.
Supporting quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based clinical practice.
Contributing to a positive team culture while mentoring and supporting colleagues when required.
Working across a rotating roster and adapting to the dynamic needs of a busy surgical environment.
About you:
You are a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse who is committed to delivering exceptional patient care with:
Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as a Registered Nurse.
Demonstrated acute surgical nursing experience and sound clinical judgement.
Strong assessment, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
A commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and evidence-based practice.
The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining person-centred care.

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.
We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.
Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
