Senior Occupational Therapist – Grade 3

About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for a passionate and experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic Geriatric Evaluation and Management (GEM) inpatient team. In this rewarding role, you will provide evidence-based occupational therapy assessments and interventions, supporting patients through complex clinical decision-making and discharge planning to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Working with a diverse and engaging caseload, you will play a key role in supervising occupational therapists and students, while leading and contributing to quality improvement and research initiatives. As a senior member of the team, you will have leadership responsibilities and will collaborate closely with our highly supportive multidisciplinary allied health team to deliver exceptional, person-centred care.

About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
AHPRA Registration as an Occupational Therapist
Demonstrated clinical expertise in subacute occupational therapy
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A strong commitment to high quality, values-based care and interdisciplinary teamwork
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role, and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
