Objective:
lead, coach and develop HSES values and build capability across the wider organization. Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence managers, operational leaders and frontline employees. Proven ability to build a proactive safety culture, moving beyond compliance to visible safety leadership and employee ownership. High level of integrity, accountability and personal commitment to HSES excellence. Strong knowledge of HSES Management Systems and standards, including ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
Oversee the day-to-day management of HSES activities for all office locations as well as manufacturing sites including developing and implementing safety initiatives and ensuring the highest safety standards are met and are aligned to the Company’s strategic goals. Supporting and leading proactive safety culture within the business. Develop Safety, Health and Environment platforms and manage to best practice standards.
Maintain up to date knowledge of all relevant legal, regulatory and company HSES requirements.
Be the active driver in providing process improvements which encourage cross functional engagement and drives customer satisfaction and a safety culture.
Lead Risk Assessment, and own HSES roles in all MOC activities.
Skills
>Strong Microsoft Office capability, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and data analysis/reporting tools.
> Demonstrated knowledge of SHE practices including statutory compliance requirements.
> Working knowledge/experience in chemical manufacturing / distribution / manufacturing industry or similar fields advantageous.
>Willingness and ability to travel within Australia and New Zealand as required.
>Highly organized with strong planning, prioritization and project management skills.
>Pragmatic, solutions-focused and able to operate effectively in a changing business environment.
>Experience developing and maintaining HSES KPIs, dashboards and management reports for senior leadership and regional/global stakeholders.
>Experience with HSES management systems, incident reporting systems and audit platforms, including data gathering.
>Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM) and chemical process safety principles. Food Industry knowledge advantageous.
Tertiary qualifications - postgraduate or Masters’ Degree in HSE, manufacturing, engineering, or technical discipline preferred.> Minimum 10+ years’ relevant experience in a HSE leadership role with a demonstrated understanding of legislative and compliance requirements> Experience in leading multi-faceted business improvement projects and experience in implementing continuous improvement methodologies and tools.
