About the role
We are seeking an experienced HME Maintenance Superintendent to lead our maintenance team based at Oak Park Mine. This leadership role will oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations for our fleet of heavy mining equipment, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective outcomes while supporting and enhancing our client relationship on site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to maintenance supervisors, trades, and support personnel.
- Manage daily maintenance planning, execution, and reporting activities.
- Drive a strong safety culture aligned with National Group and client expectations.
- Maintain and strengthen our relationship with the client and mine owner through effective communication, transparency, and consistent delivery of service excellence.
- Monitor equipment performance, availability, and reliability targets.
- Coordinate maintenance shutdowns and planned work schedules.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across people, process, and plant.
- Build positive working relationships with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
Skills & experience
- Proven experience in a similar HME maintenance leadership role within mining.
- Trade qualification in Plant Mechanic / Diesel Fitting or relevant engineering discipline (desirable).
- Strong understanding of Caterpillar, Komatsu, or similar fleet maintenance practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and team development.
- Experience using maintenance management systems (e.g., AMT, or similar).
