About the Role
Join CSR's Customer Solutions team as a Technical Engineer - Building Products, where you'll play a pivotal role in building solutions for a better future with a focus on creating sustainable value. Based at our Wetherill Park location, this full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to drive innovation in building products and construction systems across Australia and New Zealand.
In this role, you will investigate, conceptualise, design, and project manage product and system solutions that differentiate CSR in the marketplace. You'll seek category innovation through an agile approach, interpreting regulatory requirements, benchmarking competitor products, and understanding customer needs to deliver cutting-edge solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Research regulatory changes and translate them into innovative product opportunities
- Design and develop differentiated building systems and solutions
- Collaborate with Category, Procurement, and Operations teams to deliver projects
- Monitor competitor and market trends to support future product roadmaps
- Act as a technical subject matter expert supporting internal teams
- Develop and review technical documentation, guides, and product literature
- Conduct prototyping, testing, and validation of new products
- Ensure compliance with WHSE standards and industry regulations
About You
You're a curious and innovative engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, thrive in collaborative environments and are motivated by creating practical, sustainable solutions that make a real impact. You'll be someone who values and can effectively coordinate teamwork and collective problem-solving while staying at the forefront of industry developments and regulatory changes. To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Tertiary Qualification in Engineering, either Mechanical, Structural, Civil, Faade, or Materials Engineering
- 3+ years' experience commercial experience in either a manufacturing or consulting environment (ideally construction related)
- Good understanding of construction methods (residential and/or commercial)
- Experience working with the National Construction Code (NCC) and Australian Standards would be advantageous
- Proven project management skills with the ability to deliver outcomes
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage diverse stakeholders
- Strong track record of cross-functional collaboration
