About the Role
YANGTAI AUSTRALIA PTY LTD is seeking an experienced and motivated Supply and Distribution Manager to join our growing team on a full-time basis. Reporting directly to the Director, this role is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, warehousing, logistics and distribution activities.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods, maintaining optimal stock levels, coordinating supplier relationships, and supporting the continued growth of the business. This position requires strong organisational and leadership skills, together with the ability to develop and implement effective supply chain strategies to meet business objectives and customer requirements.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced supply chain professional to contribute to a dynamic and expanding business operating within the agricultural and industrial supply sector.
Key Responsibilities:
· Plan, direct and coordinate the supply, storage and distribution activities of agricultural products and farm supplies.
· Develop and implement purchasing, inventory and distribution strategies to ensure efficient supply chain operations.
· Monitor stock levels and maintain optimal inventory to meet business and customer requirements.
· Negotiate with domestic and overseas suppliers regarding product specifications, pricing, delivery schedules and quality standards.
· Oversee warehousing, logistics and transportation arrangements to ensure timely delivery of goods.
· Establish and maintain systems for recording inventory movements, purchasing activities and distribution transactions.
· Analyse supply chain performance and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
· Liaise with internal departments, suppliers, freight providers and customers to ensure smooth business operations.
· Supervise and provide leadership to staff involved in procurement, warehousing and distribution activities.
Skills and Experience:
· Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Commerce or a related field.
· At least two years of relevant management experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics or distribution operations.
· Strong knowledge of inventory management, procurement practices and distribution systems.
· Demonstrated experience in supplier negotiations and supply chain coordination.
· Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
· Experience in the agricultural, manufacturing or import/export industry will be highly regarded.
