About us:
Cleveland Education & Training Centre is a Department of Education school, operating within the Cleveland Youth Detention Centre at Townsville.
The catchment area for the Centre comprises the area graphically north from Rockhampton, west to the border and Island communities off the Queensland coastline.
Cleveland Education & Training Centre offers a range of pathways and employment focussed VET courses to assist a young person to close individual skills gaps, develop language, develop positive behaviours and social skills and gain knowledge and skills which are a prerequisite for further study or a pathway to employment.
Younger students study programs aligned to the Australian Curriculum, designed to assist them to return to mainstream schooling.
