What your day could look like
As a Headspace Consultation Liaison Clinician, you'll play a critical role in supporting young people to navigate mental health care with confidence. From strengthening pathways between services to partnering with clinicians and families, you'll help create a more connected experience that leads to better outcomes for adolescents and young adults.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
Delivering specialist mental health support for young people with complex needs, helping them access timely and effective care.
Building strong partnerships with headspace, multidisciplinary teams and community stakeholders to improve service coordination.
Leading initiatives that strengthen transitions between services and enhance continuity of care.
Sharing expertise through mentoring, consultation and quality improvement activities that build capability across teams.
Let's talk about you!
You're someone who combines clinical expertise with genuine compassion. You communicate with confidence, build trusted relationships, and thrive when working across teams to support young people and their families. You take pride in creating smoother care journeys, improving access to services, and helping others grow through collaboration and shared learning. Guided by compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage, you focus on making a positive and lasting difference.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
Registration or professional membership relevant to Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Social Work or Speech Pathology.
Experience supporting young people experiencing complex mental health challenges.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills across multidisciplinary and community settings.
Demonstrated ability to lead service improvements, apply evidence-based practice and support clinical capability.
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience in consultation liaison or youth mental health settings and/or a strong background in clinical supervision, mentoring or service development.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone passionate about improving mental health outcomes for young people and committed to delivering care that reflects our values every day.
