The Retail Marketing Specialist is responsible for bringing the Salomon brand to life across all retail touchpoints in Australia and New Zealand. This role oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of all retail marketing activities including new store openings, in-store campaigns, activations and communication with internal and external retail partners.
For Salomon, this role plays a key role in elevating the in-store experience and delivering best in class retail executions that drive awareness, traffic and conversion. Responsibilities include;

Implement all retail marketing activity across AUNZ retail doors
- Create and execute all new store opening marketing plans and activations
- Manage and maintain all retail distribution lists, including artwork management, shopping centre contacts and supplier databases.
- Manage the Retail Marketing calendar and ensure timely delivery of all initiatives and campaigns
- Own and execute monthly POP packs to ensure stores are aligned and have most recent campaign assets

Own and execute retail activations that engage the local community and reflect the Salomon brand pillars
- Assist with the Salomon S/Plus instore strategy to enhance consumer loyalty and experience
- Lead innovation in retail experience to differentiate Salomon stores and elevate brand presence
- Manage the retail marketing budget and ensure efficient allocation of funds to drive ROI
- Own and execute post campaign reports for all marketing campaigns and activations
What we are looking for:
We're looking for a proactive and commercially minded retail marketing professional with demonstrated retail experience, with proven ability to develop and execute long-term marketing strategies that align with brand objectives, while effectively managing annual marketing calendars, product launches, and seasonal campaigns.
You thrive in fast-paced environments (we all know the pace of retail), balancing multiple priorities and tight deadlines with a strong sense of urgency. You are skilled in managing marketing budgets, identifying opportunities to maximise ROI, and proactively solving challenges by getting to the root cause of issues. You bring excellent communication and project management skills, a solid understanding of brand management, visual merchandising, and customer engagement strategies. Experience with creative design tools such as Canva or InDesign is highly regarded.
Most importantly, you communicate with honesty and kindness, fostering positive relationships and creating an environment where others feel valued and empowered to contribute.
