About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for to join our supportive and diverse Finance and Procurement Services team as a Financial Analyst. Working closely with experienced finance professionals, you will be supported by strong mentors while further developing your financial analysis, reporting and business partnering capabilities. As part of a collaborative and values-driven environment, you will contribute to the University's commitment to integrity, innovation and excellence while supporting informed decision-making across the organisation.
In this role, you will be providing financial analysis, reporting and business support to help drive informed decision-making across the organisation. You will play an important role in monitoring and reporting financial performance against College and Portfolio financial plans, while contributing to budgeting, forecasting and strategic financial initiatives across the University.
Some of the key responsibilities of the position include:
Providing financial analysis and reporting, delivering insights on performance against budgets and forecasts.
Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, costing and funding models, feasibility studies and business cases.
Preparing timely and accurate management reports, variance analysis and reporting for senior stakeholders and committees.
Supporting the monitoring of financial performance and contributing to informed decision-making across Colleges and Portfolios.
About You
You are a detail-oriented and analytical finance professional who is eager to build your career in financial analysis. Whether you have recently completed a relevant degree or already have experience in budgeting, forecasting, accruals or management reporting, you are passionate about turning data into meaningful business insights and thrive in a collaborative environment.
Our ideal candidate will have the following:
An understanding of core financial analyst functions, including budgeting, forecasting, accruals and financial performance reporting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
The ability to work collaboratively within a team, manage competing priorities and deliver accurate outcomes in a deadline-driven environment.
Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, or possess equivalent relevant experience.

Finance and Procurement Services assist the University to achieve its goals by providing quality leadership, information, and financial services. The Finance and Procurement Services team develops and maintains financial policies and procedures and internal control to facilitate the conduct of university business and help ensure compliance with taxation and other financial legislative requirements.
