We are seeking an experienced sushi chef with previous experience in cooking for our new fast paced restaurant in Yokoso Izakaya Japanese restaurant. The successful applicant must be committed to our kitchen team on a daily basis.
You must also be a team player, have a positive attitude, be responsible and good knife skills of fish. You are willing to work in a team environment and autonomously.
The Roles
Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to;
▪ Fish cutting for sashimi and nigiri
▪ Maki roll and tempura for busy kitchen
▪ Ordering, Stock control and Stock Rotation
▪ Menu Planning and development
The position Requires
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success within a similar role or work environment.
▪ Have a right to work in Australia
▪ Previous experience (at least 3 years) in a similar role with references
▪ Must be fully available over a 7-day roster
▪ Be able to work under pressure
▪ Be a team player
▪ Highly organized and efficient
